What is Labor Day?

For those who don’t know what Labor Day symbolizes here’s a little history lesson to start your morning…

Labor Day honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country. The labor history of the United States describes the history of organized labor, as well as more general history of working people, in the United States. The nature and power of organized labor is the outcome of historical tensions among counter-acting forces involving workplace rights, wages, working hours, political expression, labor laws, and other working conditions. Which eventually lead to the creation of the National Industrial Recovery Act and the New Deal by FDR in the 1930s
