CB2, the hipper more affordable offspring of Crate and Barrel that first opened in Chicago in 2000, now has stores in 14 US cities including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, LA, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and further afield, in Toronto, Vancouver and Singapore. Its latest partnership is with a designer better known as a singer-songwriter, producer and occasional actor: Lenny Kravitz, whose Kravitz Design collection is set to launch at CB2 on October 1st, featuring 20 pieces spanning lighting, wall décor, rugs, pillows and furniture.
Kravitz’s signature style is evident in the CB2 collection, previewed byElle Decor above, with its use of luxe finishes, reflective surfaces and custom patterns inspired by the rocker’s personal style, channeling his take on the 1970s New York club scene, LA chic and his international jet setter lifestyle. But instead of working with luxury brands and high-end clients, he’s translating his aesthetic to a mass audience, one that knows his music and work in The Hunger Games movies more than his appearances in Elle Decor.
“Our goal was to create a collection of pieces based on my personal style and the things that have inspired me throughout my travels,” the Grammy Award winner commented. “This collection will appeal to a diverse group of people and we look forward to using them in future Kravitz Design projects as well as my houses in Bahamas and Brazil.”
