Torrance Historical Home Tour

Wrapping up our tour this week with some color…

The master bedroom was designed utilizing color. Using a mostly neutral palette, we added custom bedding fabrics in black and cream with pops of hot pink and turquoise. An accent wall in a beautiful teal completes the look!!

Torrance Historical Home Tour

Let’s take another look at the before and after photos of this cute sunroom we put together for our clients home which was featured in the Torrance Historical Home Tour this past month

This room was designed using bright colors to warm up the space. Our client wanted fabric that would wear well for family and grandchildren. The sofa is upholstered in a durable fabric which is easy to clean if children, or adults make a mess. The rug is an indoor outdoor rug which makes for easy cleaning as well. Storage ottomans make it easy to keep things neat and tidy! Custom roman shades in a fun fabric finish the look! This room can be used anytime of day, to read, watch TV or enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage!

And we continue the tour…

The dining room was designed using traditional elements and adding some modern features as well. The dining chairs were given new life by reupholstering them in fun, modern fabrics. Gold accessories, mixed with rich turquoise and navy help to tie the space together. Custom window treatments, using a faux silk and a sheer fabric, complete the look.
Happy Tuesday!! Love, The Divas ❤

Torrance Historical Home Tour

What a difference a day makes…

The Divas had the pleasure of redesigning this space for our wonderful client whose home was recently featured on the Torrance Historic Home tour. The Spanish style home, located in Old Torrance, was built in 1927. Although remodeled since then, the home features many of the original architectural details.
Our client, who downsized from over 4,500 square feet to this home which is a little over 2,000, was concerned that many of her beloved pieces would not be able to fit into her new home. Mixing antique pieces with new, more modern elements is what the Divas do best! We were able to reupholster some of her existing pieces and add some new pieces to complete the look. We decided on a beautiful color palette of taupe, gray, beige with pops of turquoise and gold for some additional color. The colors are both warm and exciting at the same time. Custom pillows, upholstery and custom window treatments complete the look!
